Tembo is Swahili for elephant, thus translating White Tembo to white elephant (or Chang Puak in the local Thai dialect). This is your first clue as to the location of this traditional Thai food restaurant found in Chang Puak district. Since the owners love Swahili decorations as much as they love cooking, the restaurant is decorated in a style mixing African and Islamic influences, and featuring exotic and decorative items.
