Presentation:
This trail leads visitors through Thailand's
highest swamp by a raised boardwalk. It is an excellent birdwatching
site, and birdwatchers come from all over the world to see many beautiful
birds that call the summit 'home'. Of special interest are the beautiful
greentailed sunbrid, the shy-throated warbler, and the chestnut-headed
minla.
A large rhododendron blooms along
the trail in cold season, and the forest trees are cloaked with mosses,
fern, orchids, and other epiphytes.
Occasionally, small mammals such
as rodents and leopard cats can be seen prowling along through the foliage.
A short apur leads to the memorial site
of the Park's first superintendent.
The weather is cool and wet all year,
so be sure to take warm clothes even in the hot season.
